Matthew Makurabe / A poop painter

2019
Matthew Maclave makes a living in New York by drawing his own poop. While his style is accepted by the art world, it prevents him from making real-life friends. Furthermore, because he uses his home as a studio, he faces endless trouble with his neighbors. Despite dealing with a vulgar theme, this film avoids graphic visual depictions. It is a heartwarming mockumentary comedy about a lonely man taking a step forward amidst the unique human relationships of New York City.
